PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 25, 2011 – PEORIA, AZ- John Vance, General Manager at Peoria Nissan , is trading his suits for shorts. From May 6-16, he'll be Stuck on the Roof , living, working and broadcasting live via Webcam from the rooftop at 9151 W. Bell Road . And for the second year in a row, he'll be using the power of the Internet and the dealership's considerable Web presence to help raise awareness of the mission, goals and volunteer/fun mustang car draising needs of local nonprofit organizations. http://www.stuckontheroof.com/countdown/
Initially conceived to support the Nissan National Tent Event, Vance takes the opportunity to blend a retail event with the dealership philosophy of "Doing Good While Doing Well". Last year, he and his partners focused on topics like skin cancer prevention, infant swim safety, the dangers of drinking and boating and pet safety during the harsh Arizona summers. This year, Peoria Nissan's Rooftop Cause Network highlights local nonprofits who have seen a drop in both funding and participation since the recession began in an effort to reintroduce them to th first drive audi a6 e community that benefits from their services. < goverment technology /p>
They'll cut rooftop interviews and blast them virally, linking his partners' social networks with his Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/#!/StuckOnTheRoof) , Twitter account (@StuckOnTheRoof) and website, StuckOnTheRoof.com. In 2010, the combined networks reached over 25,000 Phoenix area residents, and this year the reach has nearly doubled with more committing every day.
The inaugural awareness event got an overwhelming positive community response. A few though, have wondered why a retail business man would continue to devote time, energy and even a portion of his own advertising budget to efforts other than selling cars. Vance's explanation is simple and direct just like the concept:
"We've seen a great revival in th 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 e consumer strength of the Valley over the past 18 months. It's translated into our becoming the #1 Nissan dealer in Arizona- #33 nationwide- and we want to use our platform to help the charities of the Greater Phoenix area rebuild community awareness and partnerships as the economic resurgence continues. They need help; we have a platform and the networks to help them do this. So, the chance to do a little business, help out those who contribute so much to the fabric of our community, and have a lot of fun? It's a win-win for everybody" http://www.peorianissan.com/index.htm
